Understanding Physical Dimensions (cm, mm, inch) to Pixels (px)

Government form notifications often specify dimensions in physical units like 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm or 35 mm x 45 mm. Online uploading systems require pixel values (px).

Formula at 300 DPI (Dots Per Inch):

• Width in Pixels = (Width in cm / 2.54) * 300
• 3.5 cm = ~413 pixels at 300 DPI
• 4.5 cm = ~531 pixels at 300 DPI
